Welcome to Forest Hills Pony Club

WYONG TROPHY 21st FEB

- DON'T MISS THIS DAY!

ImageCongratulations to everyone for making our first Rally Day such a fun day! A huge “Thank you” to our Instructors who work a long day out in the paddock. Please remember to Thank them when you finish at lunchtime and at the end of the day. It was wonderful to see so many of the new parents and members pitching in to help with the running of the day and, more importantly, the pack up at the end of the day.

On Friday the 29th January we held our Twilight Equitation Jumping Competition. With 35 competitors having 2 rounds of jumping we had just enough light to see the last of the
E Graders through at 8.30pm (Lucky Sammi Picello had a white pony and we could see him clear the jumps!). It was great to see members from Avondale and Arcadia join in the competition and we hope to foster more of the inter club relationships at Forest Hills this year. Congratulations to everyone who achieved places and my warmest thanks go to our judges: Dr Juho Looveer and Mrs Jill Hawker, and Juho’s penciller, Cassandra Looveer who is a State Champion Equitation rider

ImageOn Friday the 5th January, 12 of our members made a long trek to Michelago Pony Clubs annual sporting competition held at Bredbo, near Cooma. This is a 2 day competition with 17 races over the weekend. This year there were 130 riders competing and our members had a fantastic time with great success. Riley Mackillop, Rachael Temm, Stephanie Mackillop and Sarah Beale were all Champions of their age groups. Mitch Beale was Reserve Champion. The 4 Champions and Kristie Nixon made up the winners of the Clear Range Sporting Cup. Caroline Day won the Fastest Barrel Award and Steph Mackillop, the fastest Bonfield Bounce Award. All riders came home with ribbons and personal best times and most of all it WAS FINE WEATHER!

ImageWe will be holding our Wyong Trophy Competition on the 21st February. This is a closed sporting competition for Forest Hills members only. Please come along as we do cater for all levels and ages. It is a fun day for all our members and a good chance to get a taste of the games that will be run at Zone 23 Sporting which will be held on the 28th February at Forest Hills Pony Club grounds. There is a flyer about this in the document section of the Website.

Try to check this website regularly as it is one of our main forms of communication. Information about competitions, draws for competitions, applications for schools and knowledge articles are published on this site. Check the document section of the website to download these as hard copy.
